Gaza Herald- More than 900 patients in Gaza have died while awaiting medical evacuation from the Gaza Strip, the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed.
The UN organization reported that over 16,500 patients are still waiting to be evacuated for medical treatment abroad, including 4,000 children.
Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called for the immediate opening of Gaza’s border crossings, mainly before medical evacuation cases.
He emphasized that the ongoing Israeli closure of Gaza’s border crossings will only worsen the already-deteriorated humanitarian conditions in the Strip.
