Israel Launches New Wave of Strikes Across Gaza Despite Ceasefire

Gaza Herald – Israeli forces carried out fresh airstrikes, artillery barrages, and large-scale home demolitions across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip early Thursday, in yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Warplanes struck the vicinity of Ahmad al-Shuqeiri School in Beit Lahiya, targeted eastern Gaza City, and bombed residential blocks in Rafah, Shuja’iyya, and the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis. Israeli drones also opened fire near the Sanfour junction in Gaza City, while army units detonated entire rows of homes in several districts.

These attacks follow a series of overnight assaults that expanded from northern Beit Lahiya to the southern areas of Khan Younis. Israel simultaneously shelled multiple zones east and southeast of Khan Younis, continuing its policy of destruction and forced displacement under the guise of a ceasefire.

The renewed escalation is part of Israel’s ongoing genocide, now in its third year, as the occupation persists in leveling homes, bombing civilian areas, and tightening its blockade, proving once again that even a declared ceasefire offers no safety to Palestinians trapped under fire.
