Gaza Herald – The UN relief agency says the collapse of Gaza’s healthcare system under Israel’s ongoing genocide has left 1 in every 5 children without basic, life-saving vaccinations, exposing tens of thousands to deadly and preventable diseases.
Clinics have been destroyed, cold-chain storage has failed, and medical access remains blocked under Israel’s siege.
According to UNRWA monitoring, the interruption of vaccination programs comes alongside a sharp rise in malnutrition, respiratory infections, and waterborne diseases, conditions the agency says are “manufactured by siege and displacement,” not natural outcomes of war.
UNRWA stresses that without immediate, unrestricted medical access, Gaza faces a public health catastrophe that will echo for generations.
