Gaza Herald – Doctors in Gaza say the majority of the 285 Palestinian bodies recently returned by Israel are unidentified, disfigured, and show clear signs of torture, with some victims found handcuffed with rope when handed over.
Unlike the Israeli bodies returned through negotiated exchange, whose identities and circumstances of death are documented, the Palestinian martyrs are being delivered as numbered shrouds, leaving families searching hospitals in agony, hoping to recognize what remains of their loved ones.
Medical teams at Nasser Hospital report that many of the bodies are severely mutilated, preventing visual identification. With no functional DNA testing equipment due to Israel’s blockade, unidentified victims are now being prepared for burial in a mass grave in Deir al-Balah.
