Three Years of Lost Education in Gaza Threaten an Entire Generation

Gaza Herald – UNICEF warns that three years of halted schooling in Gaza risk erasing a whole generation. Despite a rise in aid, the support remains insufficient to meet the massive needs of children caught in Israel’s ongoing genocidal war.

The relentless Israeli military operations have left Gaza in ruins, decimating schools, hospitals, and homes. UNICEF stresses that the recent ceasefire offers a vital lifeline for children struggling to survive amid widespread devastation.

Efforts are underway to expand treatment for malnutrition as famine continues to grip the region. Over 64,000 children have been killed or injured, and more than 58,000 have lost one or both parents, leaving millions in extreme vulnerability.

UNICEF highlights that a million children in Gaza endure daily horrors just to survive in one of the most dangerous places on Earth. Immediate, sustained humanitarian action is critical to protect this generation from permanent loss.
