Gaza Herald – Hamas announced that new areas will be entered on Sunday to search for the bodies of Israeli captives, signaling a continuation of post-ceasefire operations amid the devastation left by Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.
The Movement emphasized that rebuilding Gaza is now the core mission of the United Nations, with full agreement from all Palestinian factions. Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to national elections as a step toward Palestinian unity and statehood.
Hamas officials also declared that their weapons remain a tool of resistance tied to the existence of Israeli occupation and aggression, stressing that once the occupation ends, the arms will revert to the future Palestinian state.
Meanwhile, the group condemned Israel’s continued obstruction of humanitarian aid, noting that Gaza needs 6,000 aid trucks daily, not the limited 600 currently allowed. Hamas urged mediators to pressure Israel to lift the restrictions and allow full-scale humanitarian relief to reach a population still buried under the rubble of genocide.
