Gaza Herald- Israeli forces launched a drone strike on the security and press room of Al-Awda Hospital in Central Gaza, injuring at least five people, according to medical staff. The attack once again highlights Israel’s systematic targeting of Gaza’s fragile healthcare system, striking even hospital facilities meant to safeguard patients, staff, and journalists.
This attack fits into a wider pattern where hospitals, press offices, and civilian security posts are deliberately treated as “legitimate military targets.” Journalists, medics, and hospital guards, protected under international law, have repeatedly come under fire.
Rights organizations have long warned that such deliberate targeting reflects a systematic policy to dismantle Gaza’s civilian infrastructure and silence those documenting the destruction. By striking hospitals, press rooms, and security offices, Israel is not only violating international law but also weaponizing fear to erase witnesses and accountability.
