Gaza Herald – The Euro-Med Monitor reports that Israel is coercing Palestinian families under a brutal “cooperate or die” policy. Local leaders and mukhtars who refused to comply have been directly targeted.
At the same time, the occupier seeks to establish militias and gangs under its control to carry out unlawful operations, including theft and spreading chaos. These actions violate international law, including the Rome Statute (Article 8(2)(a)(5)), and constitute war crimes.
The Monitor stresses that civilian protection is unconditional. Forcing Palestinians into collaboration through threats, starvation, or displacement is a systematic attempt to subjugate society and dismantle collective survival. Given the scale and context of these acts, the report identifies a clear pattern of genocidal intent through progressive destruction and weakening of Gaza’s communities.
Euro-Med calls on the UN General Assembly to deploy an international protection force, secure humanitarian access, protect medical facilities, lift the blockade, and hold perpetrators accountable. States are urged to impose sanctions, arms embargoes, and legal measures to stop the ongoing genocide and address the root causes of Palestinian suffering caused by 77 years of occupation, settlement expansion, and apartheid policies.
