Gaza Herald – Israeli siege and bombardment have pushed Gaza’s healthcare system to the brink, leaving doctors with no choice but to amputate infected limbs to save lives.
Antibiotic-resistant infections are spreading rapidly as the occupation blocks the entry of essential medicines, turning every wound into a potential death sentence.
Dr. Munir al-Barsh, Gaza’s Health Director, warns that the situation has reached a “point of no return,” describing the systematic targeting of Gaza’s medical infrastructure as a core element of Israel’s campaign of extermination. The August 13 “Gideon 2” operation alone claimed 1,891 lives, including 482 children, 174 women, and 75 elderly, highlighting that Israel’s assaults disproportionately target the most vulnerable.
With widespread famine now officially confirmed by the United Nations (UN), claiming 420 lives, including 145 children, Gaza faces daily annihilation. Acivilian population trapped under siege, deprived of medicine, food, and basic survival, while the world largely remains silent.
