Day 706 of Gaza Genocide: Entire Families Wiped Out, City in Ruins

Gaza Herald – For the 706th day, Israel’s genocidal war of annihilation grinds on in Gaza, leaving a trail of mass death, starvation, and relentless displacement under the cover of U.S. backing and global silence.

Israeli warplanes and artillery carried out dozens of strikes across the Strip on Thursday, flattening homes, tents, and entire neighborhoods. Hospitals reported dozens of new martyrs, including children and women, as rescue teams scrambled under fire.

Among the dead is 8-year-old Mohammed Ahmed al-Azbat, shot outside his home in al-Bureij Camp. In Gaza City, strikes killed scores more, while naval forces abducted fishermen off the coast. At least 79 Palestinians were killed on Wednesday alone, 60 of them inside Gaza City.

The scale of destruction is staggering: more than 64,600 killed, over 163,000 wounded, and at least 9,000 missing beneath the rubble. Entire families have been erased, with nearly 2,700 clans wiped off the civil registry. Over 20,000 children and 12,500 women have been slaughtered, including newborns who never lived to see peace.

Israel has deliberately targeted aid lines, turning food distribution points into killing grounds. Since May, more than 2,400 civilians have been massacred while waiting for bread and flour. Starvation deaths now exceed 400, including 141 children.

This is not war. This is not a military operation. This is a deliberate campaign of genocide carried out in broad daylight, fueled by international complicity and global silence.
