Aqsa Hospital Issues Urgent Plea to Save Thousands of Lives

Gaza Herald- Aqsa Martyrs Hospital issued an urgent appeal for a power generator to help save the lives of thousands of patients and wounded individuals affected by the ongoing Israeli aggression.

The health situation at the central medical facility in central Gaza is dire, as it serves thousands of displaced people while suffering from a severe lack of electricity, which is jeopardizing the lives of the injured and other patients.

The Aqsa Hospital warned of repeated malfunctions of its generators due to continuous operational pressure, calling for the provision of new generators to help save lives. Only two generators remain operational, neither of which meets the hospital’s minimum requirements, one is medium-capacity and the other is small.

The hospital expressed its readiness to purchase a generator with a capacity of around 400 KVA or more to ensure a continuous power supply and uninterrupted operations to help save lives.

The hospital issued an urgent call to the Palestinian people, international, humanitarian, and civil society organizations, and anyone who possesses or can provide a generator that meets these specifications to contact the hospital immediately in order to save the lives of wounded and critically ill patients.

It added that “saving innocent lives and ensuring access to healthcare are humanitarian and moral obligations.”
