Al-Shati Camp Massacre: Starving Civilians Targeted Again

Gaza Herald– Early Tuesday morning, the Israeli occupation army carried out a massacre against displaced people in Al-Shati refugee camp. The army also targeted starving civilians searching for food, as its military operation continues in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital reported that 13 Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli artillery strike targeting tents sheltering displaced families in Al-Shati camp.

Palestinian sources confirmed that children were among the victims and said that 25 others were injured in the shelling.

Ambulances rushed to the targeted area to transfer the dead and wounded to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Al-Shati camp and other neighborhoods in Gaza City have witnessed several massacres in recent days amid a major escalation in Israeli attacks.

Israeli forces blew up residential buildings overnight in eastern Gaza City and Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, according to local sources.

Airstrikes continued across the entire Gaza Strip throughout the night, from the far north to the far south, as mass killings of displaced and starving civilians by Israeli forces have sharply increased in recent weeks.

Since the resumption of the assault on Gaza in March, around 8,200 Palestinians have been killed and over 30,000 injured, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health in the Strip.
