Gaza Herald-Four Palestinians were killed and others wounded on Tuesday in an Israeli airstrike on the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, as Israeli violations of the ceasefire continued.
Local sources said Israeli drones struck a group of Palestinians in the camp, killing four people and injuring several others.
According to reports from the area, the attack occurred after residents confronted individuals accused of collaborating with Israeli forces while attempting to enter homes belonging to civilians in the camp. Witnesses said Israeli drones then intervened and targeted the residents.
Earlier in the day, 15-year-old Fatima Mohammed Abdel Hadi Al-Khatib succumbed to wounds she sustained in a previous Israeli strike targeting the Khan Younis area.
Widespread Destruction in Nuseirat
Israeli warplanes also carried out heavy overnight bombardments on Camp 5 in Nuseirat Refugee Camp, causing widespread destruction across an entire residential block.
Local reports said multiple homes were destroyed, while nearby residential buildings sustained severe damage, including houses sheltering displaced families.
The destruction reflected the continuing escalation of Israeli attacks and the growing civilian toll despite the ceasefire agreement remaining officially in place.
Continued Israeli Attacks Across Gaza
Witnesses also reported intense gunfire from Israeli military vehicles positioned east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Meanwhile, a group of Palestinian police officers reportedly survived an Israeli drone strike targeting them in Khan Younis the previous night.
Israeli forces continue carrying out airstrikes, artillery shelling, demolitions, and attacks on areas sheltering displaced Palestinians across Gaza, in addition to maintaining restrictions on humanitarian aid, commercial goods, and civilian movement.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 913 Palestinians have been killed and more than 2,700 wounded since the ceasefire officially began on October 10.
The ministry added that the overall death toll from Israel’s assault on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has risen to more than 72,800 Palestinians killed and over 172,000 injured, amid massive destruction across the Strip.
