Albanese Condemns Israeli Army as “Most Depraved” Following Assault on Palestinian Child

Gaza Herald – The United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, strongly condemned the Israeli army, describing it as “the most depraved” after footage emerged showing soldiers assaulting a Palestinian child.

In a post published on her account on the platform X, Albanese stated that her conclusion is based on extensive documentation and firsthand monitoring of violations in the occupied Palestinian territories. She wrote that she has “seen enough to say this with absolute certainty,” referring to patterns of conduct she has observed over time.

Her remarks come amid ongoing international scrutiny of Israel’s actions in Gaza and the West Bank, particularly following her recent report in which she accused Israel of committing acts that may amount to genocide in the Gaza Strip.

In the same context, Albanese revealed that she has been subjected to increasing death threats since publishing her findings. In an interview with The Guardian, she said her life has become a “rollercoaster,” marked by constant fear and security concerns stemming from her outspoken stance.

Albanese’s statements add to growing international criticism of Israeli military conduct, as human rights observers continue to document alleged violations against Palestinian civilians, including children, in the occupied territories.
