Israeli Forces Torture 18-Month-Old Child in Gaza to Coerce Father

Gaza Herald – A one-and-a-half-year-old child, Kareem, was reportedly subjected to physical abuse by Israeli occupation forces in eastern al-Maghazi refugee camp, central Gaza, in an attempt to pressure his father into providing information.

According to local reports, Kareem’s father, Osama Abu Nassar, had been undergoing treatment for psychological trauma following the death of his horse, which he relied on for income. Two days prior, he left home with his child to buy supplies when heavy gunfire forced him into a nearby Israeli military checkpoint.

Eyewitnesses said a drone forced Abu Nassar to leave Kareem on the ground while he was abducted, stripped, and interrogated. During this time, Israeli soldiers took the child and inflicted abuse in front of his father. The child reportedly suffered burns from cigarettes and injuries from a sharp metal object inserted into his leg.

Kareem was released after approximately ten hours but remains in a state of severe physical and psychological shock, according to witnesses and medical reports.
