Israeli Strikes and Shelling Hit Central and Southern Gaza, Leaving Civilian Casualties

Gaza Herald—Israeli occupation forces continued their daily ceasefire violations across the Gaza Strip, leaving multiple casualties in the past 24 hours.

Airstrikes targeted a residential apartment on Yarmouk Street in central Gaza, injuring four civilians.

In northern Gaza, Israeli gunfire wounded two people, including a child, in Beit Lahia.

Artillery fire also hit areas north of Rafah and east of Khan Younis, while eastern Gaza City was subjected to heavy shelling earlier on Sunday morning.

Earlier on Sunday, three members of Gaza’s Interior Ministry police were killed and ten civilians were injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted their vehicle near Abu Sarar junction in al-Nuseirat refugee camp.

Al-Awda Medical Complex confirmed the arrival of three victims, Ali Abu Rabi’, Ahmed Hamdan, and Osama Tabasha, and ten wounded following the strike.

Earlier, Israeli forces assassinated a senior commander of the al-Aqsa Brigades, Youssef Lafi, in Gaza City.

Since the ceasefire took effect on 11 October, a total of 682 Palestinians have been killed and 1,819 injured, with 756 bodies recovered. Overall, since the start of the Israeli genocide on 7 October 2023, 72,253 Palestinians have been killed and 1,718,912 injured.
