Gaza Death Toll Rises to 72,097 Since Start of Israeli Genocide

Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from Israel’s genocide on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,097 killed and 171,796 injured since October 7, 2023, underscoring the prolonged human cost of the war and its continued strain on the territory’s fragile healthcare system.

In its daily statistical report, the Ministry said hospitals across Gaza received one body and five wounded residents over the past 24 hours. It added that several victims remain trapped under rubble or lying in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them due to ongoing Israeli strikes.

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, authorities have recorded 630 killed and 1,698 injuries, in addition to 735 documented body recoveries during the same period.

The figures reflect the sustained scale of civilian losses and the persistent risks facing Gaza’s population, as the healthcare sector continues to grapple with severe shortages of equipment, medicine, and operational capacity.
