Gaza Herald – Two Palestinians were killed and several others injured Sunday evening after Israeli artillery shelled northern Gaza, marking the 141st consecutive day of ceasefire violations.
Medical sources confirmed that the strike targeted Al-Jarn area in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Strip, resulting in two killed and multiple injuries. The attack comes amid ongoing breaches of the ceasefire that took effect on October 11, 2025.
Israeli forces have continued military attacks across several areas of Gaza despite the truce. On Saturday, artillery units and military vehicles opened heavy fire toward the northeastern neighborhoods of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while northwestern districts were subjected to sustained shelling and gunfire. In southern Gaza, Israeli artillery struck eastern Khan Younis.
Under the phased ceasefire framework proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, Israeli forces withdrew behind the so-called “Yellow Line,” yet they continue to maintain control over more than half of Gaza’s territory.
Since the agreement entered into force, approximately 618 Palestinians have been killed and 1,663 injured due to repeated shelling and gunfire, according to Palestinian figures. The broader genocide has claimed more than 72,000 lives and left over 171,000 wounded, most of them women and children, while destroying roughly 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
