Gaza Herald – Hazem Qassem, spokesperson for Hamas, rejected Israeli claims that recent airstrikes and massacres in Gaza were retaliatory measures against supposed ceasefire violations by the movement. He described these assertions as false and a transparent attempt to justify attacks on civilians.
Qassem emphasized that such baseless claims reveal Israel’s disregard for mediators, guarantor states, and all parties involved in the so-called “Peace Council,” undermining international efforts to maintain a ceasefire.
He called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights institutions to clearly condemn the massacres and take immediate, concrete steps to stop them.
The spokesperson stressed the need to hold Israeli leaders accountable for their actions, warning that impunity only fuels further killings and destruction in Gaza.
