Gaza Herald – Civil Defense teams rescued six children after a home collapsed in western Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip, following days of heavy rain and severe weather.
The building had been structurally weakened by Israeli bombardment during the genocide, turning the storm into a life-threatening disaster for residents.
Another home collapsed elsewhere in Gaza City under the same weather conditions, though no injuries were reported. Emergency crews said many residential buildings across the city remain unsafe after months of Israeli occupation attacks that left homes critically damaged.
Since the onset of this winter storm, around 15 Palestinians have died as a result of the severe weather, some from extreme cold and hypothermia, others crushed when rain-soaked, war-damaged homes collapsed. Civil Defense officials warned that ongoing storms continue to expose the deadly consequences of Israel’s genocide, where destruction and displacement have left civilians defenseless against even the harshest weather.
