Eight Palestinians Killed in Gaza as Israeli Strikes Continue; Elderly Woman and Son Among the Victims

Gaza Herald—Eight Palestinians were killed across the Gaza Strip on Saturday as Israeli attacks continued to hit residential and civilian areas, according to medical sources.

The fatalities were recorded from the early morning hours until 4:30 p.m. Two people were killed in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, while two others lost their lives in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City. Another fatality was reported in Jabalia.

Medical teams noted that two of the victims were recovered from beneath the rubble, and one individual died from injuries sustained in a previous strike.

In a later update, health officials confirmed the killing of 70-year-old Rahma Yassin and her 25-year-old son, Mohammad Younis Yassin. They were targeted by an Israeli quad-copter drone near al-Sham‘a Mosque in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, an area that had been designated as “safe.”

The incident further underscores the growing civilian toll as Israeli assaults continue across the densely populated Gaza Strip, deepening the already severe humanitarian crisis.
