Thousands of Gaza’s Children Denied Lifesaving Care as Israel Blocks Aid

Gaza Herald – UNICEF says more than 4,000 Palestinian children urgently need to leave Gaza for medical treatment, but remain trapped under Israel’s blockade during the ongoing genocide. Despite the ceasefire, Israel has rejected 23 aid requests submitted by nine humanitarian organizations since October.

The agency warns that even essentials are being held back, including over 930,000 infant formula bottles still stuck in customs, while children across Gaza face starvation, disease, and untreated injuries with no functioning health system.

UNICEF says it is preparing a campaign to help Gaza’s children return to school next month, but stresses that without immediate access to medical evacuations and humanitarian aid, thousands of young lives remain at risk under siege.
