Israeli Warplanes Launch Intense Airstrikes on Northern Gaza

Gaza Herald- Israeli warplanes launched on Wednesday morning heavy fire belts on Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip, as part of the ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Several airstrikes targeted areas behind the educational district northeast of Beit Lahia, with plumes of smoke seen rising from the bombed sites.

Local sources also reported that the Israeli forces carried out demolitions, artillery shelling, and gunfire operations east of Jabalia in northern Gaza.

Since the ceasefire, 271 Palestinians have been killed, including 107 children, 39 women, and 9 elderly, meaning 58% of the victims are women and children, a continued policy of retaliatory killings.

Additionally, 622 civilians have been injured, 99% of whom are non-combatants, including 221 children, 137 women, and 33 elderly, confirming the deliberate Israeli violation of the ceasefire agreement.

The Israeli forces have also arrested 35 Palestinians, including fishermen at sea and civilians from areas near the so-called “yellow line.” 29 of them remain detained to this day.

On a daily and systematic basis, the Israeli army continues to demolish homes in areas under its control beyond the yellow line, in a blatant and clear violation of the ceasefire agreement, causing extensive destruction to civilian property.

Israel has failed to adhere to the agreed-upon withdrawal line in the first phase, advancing beyond the yellow line by approximately 33 square kilometers, exercising fire control between 400 and 1,050 meters inside the line, and sending in military vehicles. Concrete blocks have also been placed 200 to 800 meters beyond the temporary yellow line.
