Gaza Herald – Senior Hamas official Musa Abu Marzouk stated that the Movement rejects any plan to deploy a foreign or international military force to replace Israeli troops in Gaza, calling the proposal “unacceptable” and a continuation of occupation under a different name.
Abu Marzouk said mediators pushed for the force to be authorized through a UN Security Council resolution, but confirmed that neither the U.S. nor Israel is willing to support such a mandate, revealing the plan lacks legal legitimacy and international consensus.
He emphasized that security responsibility in Gaza must remain Palestinian, under a unified national framework led by Gaza’s existing administrative institutions, in accordance with the Palestinian political agreement.
Abu Marzouk also stressed that Israel has violated the ceasefire more than 190 times since October 11, continuing killings, demolitions, and siege, proof that the genocide and forced displacement strategy has not stopped.
He added that after two years of genocidal war, Israel failed to achieve military victory, and Palestinians did not raise the white flag, reaffirming that Gaza’s future will not be determined by foreign military control or imposed arrangements.
