Gaza Herald – Gaza City is once again under the shadow of forced evacuations as Israeli forces issued fresh orders for families to leave their homes ahead of airstrikes. Residents were told to vacate the Interior Ministry building in Tel al-Hawa, along with the adjacent UNRWA school complex.
Calls also reached some families in Gaza as al-Ghussein family in al-Nafaq Street and Ghazi family near al-Istijaba Mosque in al-Sabra, demanding they abandon their homes.
Within hours, three houses around Sheikh Radwan Cemetery were bombed into rubble. Families fled into the streets, clutching children and a handful of belongings, but many vowed not to leave Gaza itself.
The latest wave of evacuations follows the leveling of major towers like Mushtaha Tower near Ansar Junction, Makkah Tower, and the last one ,today, Al-Kawthar Tower, which had offered refuge to hundreds of displaced families. “When we sheltered in the tower, the children began to feel at home again,” said a woman displaced from Shujaiya. “The occupation took even that away.”
Pro-Palestinian voices worldwide warn these are not isolated attacks but part of a systematic campaign to erase Gaza’s skyline and uproot its people. Yet amid the destruction, Gaza’s residents continue to send a quiet but defiant message: they may be forced from one home to another, but they will not be driven out of their city.
