Urgent Call from the UK and 20 Other Countries to End the Gaza War Now

Gaza Herald- On Monday, Britain and more than 20 other countries called for an immediate end to the war in the Gaza Strip.

In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Britain, France, Italy, Japan, Australia, Canada, Denmark, and other countries said, “We, the undersigned, send a simple and urgent message together: the war in Gaza must end now.”

They added, “We are ready to take further steps to support an immediate ceasefire and to pursue a political process that leads to security and peace for Israelis, Palestinians, and the entire region.”

They emphasized that the aid delivery model followed by the Israeli government is “dangerous, fuels instability, and deprives the people of Gaza of their human dignity.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Monday that more than 134 people were killed and 1,155 were injured in the past 24 hours.

They added, “The total toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 59,029 killed and 142,135 injured since October 7, 2023.”

The war in Gaza erupted after a Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Israeli statistics indicate that the attack resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people and the taking of 251 hostages to Gaza.
