Gaza Herald — Several Palestinians were injured on Friday when an Israeli strike targeted a tent in the al-Sawarha area of az-Zawayda in the central Gaza Strip, amid Israeli artillery shelling and heavy gunfire across several areas of the enclave.
A Palestinian correspondent reported that an Israeli drone fired two missiles at the al-Sawarha area, while Israeli military vehicles simultaneously opened heavy fire north and northeast of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
In Gaza City, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire on northwestern areas, while Israeli helicopters fired on eastern parts of the city.
Further south, Israeli artillery shelled areas of southern Khan Younis as military vehicles opened heavy fire in the south and east of the city. Israeli helicopters also renewed their fire east of Khan Younis.
Israeli forces also fired illumination flares east of al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis.
The attacks came amid continued Israeli military activity across several areas of the Gaza Strip, exposing Palestinians, including those sheltering in tents, to renewed airstrikes, shelling and gunfire.
