Israeli Deadly Strike on Gaza Police Headquarters Kills Nine

Gaza Herald _Israeli forces carried out a deadly strike on a Palestinian police headquarters in Gaza City on Wednesday afternoon, killing nine people and wounding several others in the latest attack targeting civil police personnel in the besieged enclave.

The General Directorate of Police said Israeli aircraft struck the Municipalities Police headquarters in Gaza City, causing multiple deaths and injuries.

Local sources confirmed that six people were killed and several others wounded in the strike.

The Ministry of Interior described the attack as another deadly assault on officers and personnel of Gaza’s civilian police force.

Earlier, an Israeli airstrike targeted a motorcycle near Camp 2, south of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing one Palestinian and wounding others.

The latest attack came a day after seven Palestinians were killed when Israeli forces struck a café at Gaza’s port.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 1,274 Palestinians have been killed and 4,229 wounded in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire began on October 10. The ministry said the bodies of 813 people have also been recovered during the same period.

The overall death toll since Israel launched its war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, has reached 73,414, with 174,335 people wounded, according to the ministry.

The ministry said many Palestinians remain trapped beneath the rubble or stranded on roads, as ongoing access restrictions have prevented ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.
