Gaza Herald – The Government Media Office in Gaza has warned that the Strip has entered a “catastrophic and highly critical humanitarian phase,” calling for the immediate deployment of the National Committee for Gaza Administration to begin its responsibilities on the ground.
Government Media Office Director-General Ismail Al-Thawabta said the scale of the humanitarian and service crisis across Gaza has reached a point that can no longer tolerate further delays, stressing the urgent need for exceptional measures to address the worsening conditions.
“The humanitarian disaster affecting every aspect of life in Gaza cannot withstand more waiting,” Al-Thawabta said, urging the committee to move beyond the deadly waiting period and assume its administrative and relief responsibilities inside the Strip.
He reaffirmed that Gaza’s governmental bodies have welcomed the formation of the national committee for months and are prepared to operate under its direction in order to unify efforts and respond to the unprecedented challenges facing the population.
Al-Thawabta said government employees and service teams across Gaza remain fully prepared to cooperate with the committee and use all available resources to maintain essential services and reduce the suffering of Palestinian civilians.
The warning comes as Gaza continues to face a deepening humanitarian crisis marked by widespread destruction, displacement, shortages of essential supplies, and the collapse of vital infrastructure after months of Israeli attacks.
Officials have repeatedly called for urgent international and humanitarian intervention, warning that delays in restoring basic services are further worsening conditions for millions of Palestinians across the Strip.
