Gaza Herald – Israeli forces continued violating the ceasefire agreement for the 291st consecutive day on Monday, carrying out artillery shelling, gunfire, and military attacks across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, according to local Palestinian sources.
Israeli naval vessels opened fire toward the coast of Gaza City, while artillery shelled the eastern parts of the city. Additional artillery strikes targeted southern Khan Younis, as Israeli tanks fired heavily toward the northwestern areas of Rafah in southern Gaza.
On Sunday evening, Israeli aircraft fired at least two missiles at a residential building on Salah al-Din Street near the Shuja’iyya junction in eastern Gaza City, destroying the structure. No casualties were reported in that attack.
The latest incidents come amid ongoing ceasefire violations that Palestinian authorities say have continued since the truce took effect in October 2025, including repeated airstrikes, shelling, demolitions, and restrictions on movement and humanitarian access.
On Sunday, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that nine Palestinians, including two who later succumbed to previous injuries, were killed and 36 others wounded over the previous 24 hours. Since the ceasefire began, the ministry says 1,200 Palestinians have been killed, 3,888 injured, and 803 bodies recovered from under the rubble.
According to the ministry, the overall death toll in Gaza since October 2023 has risen to 73,326, with 173,997 Palestinians injured, while rescue teams continue to report that additional victims remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings and in areas inaccessible due to ongoing Israeli attacks.
