Fresh Israeli Artillery Shelling, Gunfire Reported Across Eastern Gaza Despite Ceasefire

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continued violating the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, carrying out artillery shelling and opening fire on multiple areas across the territory, according to local sources.

Israeli artillery shelled areas west of Rafah, while Israeli naval vessels fired heavily off the coast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The attacks coincided with low-altitude flights by Israeli surveillance drones over the city.

In northern Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire toward displacement shelters near Abu Rashid Pond, west of Jabalia, where thousands of displaced Palestinians have sought refuge. Meanwhile, Israeli artillery struck the area surrounding Al-Quds Bank on Salah al-Din Street in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City.

The attacks are part of Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire agreement, which have included airstrikes, artillery shelling, demolition operations inside the so-called “Yellow Line,” and ongoing restrictions on the movement of humanitarian aid, commercial goods, and civilians.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli ceasefire violations since October 10, 2025, have killed 1,072 Palestinians, injured 3,463 others, and led to the recovery of 799 bodies. Since the beginning of Israel’s genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the overall death toll has reached 73,098, with 173,571 Palestinians injured.
