Gaza Herald – Israeli military forces intensified their ongoing operations in the city of Hebron for the eighth consecutive day, resulting in the assault of dozens of citizens. Local sources confirmed that troops arrested several individuals and detained others within the besieged neighborhoods of Al-Jalda and Deir al-Baha.
According to reports, soldiers prevented residents from reaching their homes, which had been previously abandoned due to displacement orders. The military continues to impose a strict siege on closed districts in Hebron while conducting raids on residences vacated by force.
Troops deployed tear gas canisters and sound bombs toward citizens attempting to inspect their properties. These actions caused multiple cases of suffocation among those trying to access the areas. Additionally, seven citizens were detained, handcuffed, and subjected to physical abuse during the encounters.
The military arrested Omar Shawar, a resident of the Wadi Al-Karam area, and established stone barricades at the entrance to Wadi Abu Katila. Soldiers also dispersed across intersections and roads leading to Al-Jalda to restrict movement.
In a related development, Israeli forces converted a residential building into a military barracks, raising Israeli flags and positioning snipers on the roof. Patrols were increased in Al-Jalda and Deir al-Baha, with loudspeakers used to threaten residents with lethal force or arrest if they approached these zones.
Civil Defense teams urged citizens to adhere to safety protocols in areas declared military zones. They warned against the dangers of unexploded ordnance, explosives, and hazardous materials left behind by troops after raiding homes and neighborhoods.
