Gaza Herald — The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced Tuesday that it will begin accepting applications from eligible Gaza employees seeking to use financial dues owed to them by the Ministry of Finance to cover university tuition fees.
Applications will be accepted from Monday, September 28, through Saturday, October 3, 2026, with the ministry urging applicants to follow the required procedures and meet the deadline.
The programme is available to currently serving civil servants and members of the security services in the Gaza Strip. Each employee may apply for one son or daughter enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree programme. Employees who are themselves pursuing bachelor’s or postgraduate studies may also apply directly.
According to the ministry, the programme will cover 50 percent of tuition fees for the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.
Applicants must complete the electronic application form, ensure that all information provided is accurate and submit the required supporting documents.
The ministry said applications submitted after the October 3 deadline will not be accepted.
