Gaza Herald – Israeli forces continued violating Gaza’s fragile ceasefire on Friday, carrying out artillery shelling, gunfire from military aircraft and naval vessels, and ground operations across several areas of the besieged Strip.
Israeli tanks intensified fire on Gaza City’s eastern Tuffah neighborhood, while naval forces targeted the northwest coast and waters off Gaza City. Israeli forces also surrounded a Palestinian family in the southern Zaitoun neighborhood amid heavy gunfire and bulldozing operations.
Artillery shelling was reported northeast of Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza and in areas south of Khan Younis, while Israeli naval forces opened fire off the city’s coast. Shelling also reached Rafah from the eastern side of Khan Younis.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health said the Palestinian death toll since the ceasefire took effect on October 11 has reached 1,303, with 4,336 injured and 814 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble.
Since Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, the cumulative Palestinian death toll has reached 73,438, with 174,447 injuries, according to the ministry.
The continued Israeli attacks come despite the ceasefire agreement, leaving Palestinians across Gaza once again facing Israeli bombardment, gunfire and the destruction of homes and civilian areas.
