Three Killed and Several Injured by Israeli Fire in Eastern and Northern Gaza

Gaza Herald- The Israeli army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing blockade imposed on more than two million Palestinians, with crossings closed and military measures tightened.

Two brothers were killed, and a third was injured early Friday by Israeli fire east of Gaza City, as ceasefire violations persist.

A local source said that the brothers Mahmoud and Eid Abu Warda, residents of Jabalia al-Nazla, were killed and their brother injured after Israeli forces struck a water desalination station in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. According to the source, the two victims worked on a water truck and were targeted while heading to fill it.

Later, another Palestinian was killed and several others were injured in an Israeli attack in the northern Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces opened machine-gun fire toward tents sheltering displaced people in Tel al-Dhahab in Beit Lahiya, killing one person and injuring several others.

Around five additional injuries were reported in separate incidents east of Khan Younis and Gaza City due to Israeli fire.

Israeli artillery also shelled areas east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza and east of Gaza City.

Israeli military vehicles continued to open fire on multiple locations in eastern and northern parts of the Strip.

On Thursday evening, field sources reported that two Palestinians, including a child, were killed by Israeli gunfire in the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City and in Khan Younis in the south.

Our correspondent said that the child, Saleh Badawi, was killed and others were injured after being shot on Kashko Street in the Zeitoun neighborhood.

In Khan Younis, Mohsen Odeh Mohsen al-Dabari (38) was killed after being shot by Israeli forces in the Ard al-Laymoun area south of the city.

Earlier in the day, Rizq al-Mallahi (33) died from wounds he sustained days earlier in an Israeli strike that targeted a police vehicle on al-Nafaq Street in Gaza City.

Israeli forces continue to breach the ceasefire through air and artillery strikes targeting areas where displaced people are sheltering, along with demolition and destruction operations within what is known as the “yellow line,” while maintaining restrictions on the movement of goods, aid, and travel.

According to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of fatalities since the ceasefire began on October 10 has risen to 771, with 2,147 injuries, in addition to 760 reported cases of bodies recovered.

The overall toll since October 7, 2023, has reached approximately 72,360 killed and 172,250 injured, reflecting the heavy human cost of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
