Gaza Herald – The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Monday the suspension of patient and injury transfers from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing, following an Israeli attack on one of its vehicles along Salah al-Din Road in southern Gaza.
Local sources reported that the attack killed the driver, Majdi Aslan, and injured several WHO staff members. Meanwhile, three others were taken to the hospital after Israeli gunfire targeted a nearby commercial bus.
The sources confirmed that two vehicles on Salah al-Din Street near the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis, were hit, while an Israeli tank blocked the main road outside the “yellow line” area.
No official statement has yet been issued by WHO or the Israeli military regarding the incident.
The attack comes amid ongoing Israeli violations in Gaza, despite the ceasefire agreement reached in October, which has already resulted in the killings of 713 Palestinians and injuries to 1,943 others, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
