Gaza Herald – Israeli authorities kept Gaza’s crossings closed for 220 days in 2025, effectively strangling the flow of humanitarian aid and basic supplies, according to official Palestinian figures released on Wednesday.
Gaza’s Government Media Office said Israel blocked 132,000 humanitarian aid trucks from entering the Strip over the past year, leaving civilians without food, medicine, and shelter amid a deepening humanitarian catastrophe.
Officials added that only 1,460 fuel trucks were allowed in, out of 18,250 that were supposed to enter, severely crippling hospitals, water systems, and essential services dependent on diesel and cooking gas.
The blockade was accompanied by direct attacks on aid operations, with more than 40 charity kitchens and 50 distribution centers targeted, and at least 500 relief workers and volunteers killed in 2025, underscoring what Palestinians describe as a systematic assault on Gaza’s survival itself.
