GazaHerald – Israeli forces carried out a wave of deadly attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, killing at least 29 Palestinians and injuring dozens more in strikes that targeted tents sheltering displaced families as well as gatherings of civilians waiting for aid.
Local sources said the assaults began at dawn with airstrikes and artillery shelling on multiple neighborhoods and sites. Among the dead are women and children, many of whom had sought refuge in makeshift tents after being forced from their homes.
In Khan Younis, Israeli forces bombed a tent close to the University College, killing two civilians, one of them a child. Hours later, medical sources confirmed that four more civilians were killed in the Al-Mawasi area west of the city when another tent was struck.
In central Gaza, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah reported receiving five bodies after Israeli forces targeted a tent housing displaced people in the Al-Bassa area.
The dead were members of two families, including children as young as one year old: Dana Ahmed Mohammed al-Hajj (13), Raghad Mohammed Masmah (12), Mohammed Ahmed Saleh Masmah (36), Safinaz Mahmoud Masmah (34), and infant Fawzi Mohammed Ahmed Masmah.
The same hospital said five more Palestinians were killed near the Kissufim site, southeast of Deir al-Balah, when Israeli forces opened fire on groups of civilians.
In the north, Al-Shifa Hospital reported that two Palestinians were killed and 53 wounded after Israeli bombardment struck crowds of civilians waiting for food aid in the Zikim area near Beit Lahia.
Four more people, including a journalist, were killed by overnight strikes in parts of Deir al-Balah and the Al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
Health officials in the Strip report that at least 61,944 Palestinians have been killed and 155,886 injured. Most of the victims are women and children. More than 9,000 remain missing under the rubble, while hundreds of thousands are displaced and enduring famine conditions that have already claimed the lives of 258 people, including 110 children.
