Gaza Herald- More than 16 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks, mostly aid seekers waiting for assistance in central Gaza, according to medical sources speaking to Al Jazeera Arabic.
The sources affirmed that 13 aid seekers were shot dead by Israeli gunfire near aid distribution centers across the Gaza Strip.
Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has continued its brutal offensive on Gaza since October 7, 2023, killing over 60,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. The relentless bombardment has devastated the enclave and triggered severe food shortages.
The Government Media Office stated that Israel allowed 109 aid trucks into the Gaza Strip, but most were looted amid escalating security chaos. It clarified that the enclave requires at least 600 aid trucks and fuel deliveries daily to meet the needs of the starving population.
A new poll conducted by the research firm Gallup shows that only 32 percent of Americans approve of Israel’s military actions in Gaza, a 10-point drop since September 2024, as public outrage over atrocities against Palestinians continues to grow.
On Monday, Israeli rights groups B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights–Israel accused the Israeli government of committing genocide in Gaza, citing the systematic destruction of Palestinian society and the deliberate dismantling of the territory’s healthcare system.
In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its war on the besieged enclave.
