Gaza Herald- An individual was injured by Israeli occupation forces early Saturday in central Khan Younis, southern Gaza, amid renewed aerial and artillery bombardments across various areas of the strip. These attacks mark ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement, now in effect for 105 consecutive days.
A medical source confirmed that a 47-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the head in central Khan Younis.
Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli quadcopter drone opened fire on him near the Jaser Building intersection, in an area previously vacated by Israeli forces under the terms of the truce.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes in southeastern Khan Younis, while naval vessels fired indiscriminately toward the city’s coastline.
In central Gaza, Israeli military vehicles stationed in their controlled zones fired east of the Maghazi refugee camp, while artillery shelling heavily targeted the eastern parts of Gaza City.
Since the ceasefire took effect, repeated Israeli violations have resulted in the deaths of 496 Palestinians and injuries to 1,301 others.
The agreement had halted a two-year-long genocide that began on October 8, 2023, which claimed over 71,000 Palestinian lives, wounded more than 171,000, and left around 90% of civilian infrastructure destroyed. The United Nations estimates the cost of reconstruction at $70 billion.
