Gaza Herald – Five Palestinian fishermen were injured Monday by Israeli naval fire while working off the coast of Gaza City, in another violation of the fragile ceasefire.
Two fishermen, Ahmed al-Sharafi and Ahmed al-Sheikh, were wounded when Israeli naval boats opened fire on their small fishing boat off Gaza City.
Earlier, an Israeli quadcopter dropped a bomb near a fishing boat close to Gaza port, injuring three more fishermen.
The attack comes as Israel continues violating the October 2025 ceasefire while Gaza’s fishermen face severe restrictions on their livelihoods. Much of their boats and fishing equipment was destroyed during Israel’s genocide on Gaza, leaving many unable to return to work safely.
