Israeli Airstrike Tears Through Gaza Cafe, Killing Five, Including Child

Gaza Herald – At least five Palestinians, including a child, were killed and at least 10 others wounded Tuesday evening in an Israeli attack on a café at the Fishermen’s Port west of Gaza City, according to medical and local sources.

A source at Al-Shifa Hospital said the victims were killed when an Israeli aircraft fired two missiles toward the café, where Palestinians had gathered.

The bodies of those killed were transferred to Al-Shifa Medical Complex, while several of the wounded were reported to be in serious condition.

The strikes hit an area crowded with displaced Palestinians as well as residents who visit cafés along Gaza’s waterfront seeking a brief moment of relief from the devastating conditions of war and displacement.

The attack underscores the continued danger facing Palestinian civilians in Gaza, where even public spaces used by families and displaced Palestinians for respite remain vulnerable to Israeli military strikes.
