Israeli Shelling and Gunfire Continue Across Gaza Amid Ongoing Ceasefire Violations

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces carried out artillery shelling and opened fire on multiple areas across the Gaza Strip on Monday morning, as repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement continued to be reported.

According to local sources, Israeli artillery targeted areas east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while illumination flares were fired over the region. Israeli military vehicles also launched smoke bombs near Salah al-Din Street at the Bani Suheila junction east of the city and opened fire toward the eastern districts of Gaza City.

The attacks came just hours after four Palestinians were killed and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted Al-Nasr neighborhood west of Gaza City on Sunday evening.

Despite the ceasefire agreement that entered into force in October 2025, Israeli forces have continued to conduct airstrikes, artillery attacks, and live-fire operations across various parts of the Gaza Strip, resulting in ongoing civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure.

Human rights organizations and observers have repeatedly warned that the continued violations threaten civilian lives and further undermine the already fragile humanitarian situation facing more than two million Palestinians in Gaza.

The persistent attacks come amid growing international concern over deteriorating living conditions in the besieged enclave, where residents continue to face displacement, shortages of essential supplies, and the constant risk of renewed attacks.
